Is the Organization Eligible?
Independence
Independent means that the applicant is not dependent upon, affiliated with or influenced by - legally or in practice - any non-eligible business, agency or organization to perform its financial planning, policy-making decisions or to perform the business activity of the organization.

An eligible organization is one that is not dependent upon, affiliated with, or influenced by any other person, business enterprise or organization, legally or in practice, in connection with any key elements of its day-to-day or long-term affairs that would affect the organizations eligibility for certification. | |
